Wirelock Set — 6 ft Aluminum Rail and Locking Wire (WIRE)
When your shelter is placed against the house or garage, a gap remains between the two. Snow and wind rush in, and you get wet every time you go back and forth between the shelter and the door. The junction flap closes this gap — and the Wirelock holds it in place.
How it works
Two parts, a simple principle.
- The aluminum rail screws into the wall. It stays in place year-round: in spring you remove the canvas, the rail remains screwed in, and you don't have to re-drill the following autumn.
- The pin wedges the flap's canvas into the rail. One pin per rail length — it's what holds the whole thing together.
This set includes a 6-ft rail and its pin.
How many you need
You need them on both uprights and above the opening. For a single garage door, you usually need 4 lengths of 6 ft: one on each side, one at the top, and one to be cut to fill the gaps. The rail is easily cut to the desired length.
Measure your opening before ordering. If in doubt, four sets will get you started.
What else you need
The Wirelock holds the canvas, it doesn't replace it. You need a flap suitable for the width of your shelter and the distance between the shelter and the wall. Our configurator calculates the correct flap and the right number of Wirelocks based on your measurements.
Before ordering
- Measure the width of the opening to be closed and the distance between the shelter and the wall.
- Check your wall material: the rail is screwed in, so plan for screws suitable for wood, vinyl, brick, or concrete.
