About Tempo

Tempo has been sheltering Quebecers from winter for over 50 years.

A trusted Quebec company since 1971.

1971

The beginnings of Tempo

From his home in Ste-Rose, Mr. Carol Audet sells his very-first temporary shelter: it’s the start of the Tempo story.

2008

New head office

Tempo opens its new head office and distribution center in the city of Laval.

2010

Production grows

Almost 40 years after it first started, Tempo reaches a major milestone: 100,000 shelters sold.

It’s also the year that Mr. Carol Audet sells the company to Ghislain Perron and a private investor.

2020

New owners

Richard Boisclair and a group of investors, including the Fonds Régionaux de Solidarité (FTQ), acquire Tempo. The previous owner, Mr. Perron, remains an investor and member of the board.
